The Material Requirements Planning application provides the required information to develop priorities, meet commitments, and plan production/purchasing activities for effective factory management.

The Material Requirements Planning application determines exact component requirements and manufacturing schedules based on product forecast and commitments to customers. Once the demand for top-level assemblies and service parts has been established, the system computes the quantities of components needed to meet the demand. It provides on-line inquiry into the database. A material planner can display or review the items requirements schedule, open orders and suggested action, suggested new orders and also the pegging.
