Security

The Security application is designed to provide data security within the manufacturing facility. Once initialized, the Security application permits the availability of particular screens and programs only if a valid password has been entered. The entered password is then verified against a master record of passwords allowed for the company. If the password is not valid, the operator will be asked to enter a new password.

Passwords can be added, changed, listed or deleted within this application and general passwords can be entered that only allow access to screens or programs not restricted by a group of passwords. Once a valid password is entered, it is stored with the operator’s terminal number, eliminating the need to enter the password again while that terminal is being used. However, access to screens will be restricted based on the password entered. Any screen or program without a group of passwords associated with them will be available to all operators.
